2016!

Happy New Year wonderful people of the world!

    I hope you've all had the absolute best celebrations and hopefully you aren't hurting too much after partying! I just want to say a big ol' THANK YOU to you all, as without you guys the blog would be nothing.

    Last year was awesome, and I hope this year is even better. I have a tonne of stuff lined up for 2016 and still a couple of things to post from 2015! Look forward to festivals, big gigs, little gigs, ranting and raving, take-over's/guest posts and a load more...

    I honestly can't wait to fill your heads with some more of my thoughts and opinions, here's to 2016!!

   One of the perks of having this one great friend of mine, is she's great for gigs. You wouldn't understand even if I did try to explain, so I'll leave a little mystery. This is another review of a gig I went to recently. Ghost Town headlined, Palisades were their on-tour support and a local band supported too. I'll be mentioning the music, the performance, and how the behaviour of a band can really add to the experience and give you faith in success.    On October 21st I went to my second gig in a week; which is crazy as I hadn't been to a gig in so long before hand, now it was one after the other! When I was first invited, I didn't realise who my friend was talking about, but then it clicked and I got VERY excited; Palisades! The gig was at the O2 Academy in our local area, and what a gig it was! Guest Post #2 "Don't tell me you're okay..."

Hey guys, here she is again the lovely guest blogger Kirsty! xo    Once upon a time, in an old college in Walsall, 4 guys came together and started making music…    I say once upon a time, but it’s all happened very quickly. Since October Boots, Chris, Shaun and Brad, have moved out of their family homes into a huge new place together. Fitted with a recording studio, a corridor you can skate in and the home of Band Pads; it’s pretty hectic, with something always happening. Boots and Chris have come the long way from a tiny town in Wales near Aberystwyth, while Shaun and Brad were just down the road in Cannock.    In July 2015 Boots, Chris and Brad were on a European tour with their former bands; My Favourite Runner Up and Leokai. It’s safe to say that on that tour, something special happened. On returning home, Brad made the decision to leave Leokai and join Boots and Chris in My Favourite Runner Up, after the sad departure of their drummer and bassist. Brad having to trav

Adventuring Through Music...

It’s no secret whether you know me personally or only through reading the blog, that I just love finding out peoples tastes in music. Personally it doesn’t get better than discovering it of the people who are closest to you. Naturally its your immediate family and friends you know the most about, where you’re able to hear a song and know exactly who’s going to love it. But what’s more exciting in my eyes is learning it of someone new whether its a friend or someone special.  Now I am terrible for if I hear one song that I like, I need to investigate and find out as much about the sound/artist/their work as I can. For some its annoying as whilst i’m doing this it’s often the only thing they’ll hear my listening to for a while. For others its a chance to join in on my adventure with the music...
